Favorite Booktubers

I have recently discovered so many incredible booktubers and I wanted to share them all with you! I wish I could say that I read an equal amount of book blogs, but that is something that I am still working on. It’s just so much easier to listen to booktube videos while doing other things and I know that book bloggers deserve just as much love, but today I’m focusing on just the booktubers.

First up we have Brittany! She is one of the most recent booktubers that I’ve started following, and even though her channel isn’t very old, I’ve already watched every one of her videos and she is just so entertaining! Her bookshelves are gorgeous, plus her cats are adorable. She does a lot of reading vlogs and they are so much fun to watch. Brittany mainly reads fantasy, especially YA fantasy, so if that is something you are into you’ll love her channel!

Next is Codie from Codie’s Book Corner! Another smaller booktuber, I always love watching booktubers that are from other countries, and Codie is from Scotland, which means she has an amazing accent! She posts a lot of the booktube trifecta: hauls, wrap ups and TBRs! She also reads a lot of fantasy, but will mix in other genres as well!

Chloe has a channel that has been blowing up recently! As one of the fastest growing channels, once you watch a video you understand why. She is so likable and fun to watch, and she always gets so excited about the books she reads. She is another booktuber who does a lot of weekly vlogs, but she also does readathons, unboxings, hauls, tags, and even a video on how she annotates her books! She is a huge potterhead, so you can expect a lot of fantasy novels from her. Also, she is another non US booktuber that I love, as she comes from Australia!

Now onto the biggest booktuber on the list, Regan from PeruseProject! Out of all of the bigger booktubers, Regan is definitely my favorite. She recently moved from Chicago to New York and it was so fun watching her moving vlogs! She is another fantasy lover, and is always showing off new books that I of course have to buy based on her recommendations. She doesn’t just talk about books though. Regan does monthly favorites videos about everything from furniture to fashion!

There is so much that I want to say about Elliot. I love how eloquent she is when she is speaking about books, and she knows exactly what she likes and doesn’t like, and isn’t afraid to say any of it. She reads a lot of adult fantasy, and is in the process of writing her own book, which I am so excited for! She does a lot of list videos (my favorite!) and also started a podcast with her husband where they discuss different aspects of fantasy novels.

I actually found Merphy’s channel through Elliot’s, and I am so happy that I did! She reviews books a lot more critically than I do, and it’s always interesting to see her take on books. She does a lot of reviews and hauls, plus her vlogs almost always have her son in them and he is adorable! Merphy reads a lot of fantasy, but she also reads quite a few classics every month and does wrap ups for those!

Kitty G is one of the few booktubers that I watch who is almost exclusively sci-fi/fantasy, but focuses mainly on the books that are lesser known. If you ever need a good recommendation that isn’t something that is super hyped, she is the place to go! I’ve bought so many books because of her recommendations that are unlike anything else I’ve read! She also has a really great series of her favorite fantasy books, which I watch over and over again for recommendations. Plus, she is from the UK so yet another awesome accent!

It’s a trend that some of my favorite booktubers have accents, because here we have Britt, who comes from the Netherlands! If you like vlogs and travel and harry potter, this is the channel for you. She usually throws in a lot of artsy shots in her vlogs and they are so entertaining to watch. She also reads a lot of fantasy, but will read other genres as well. Her vlog reading The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah was basically me reading that book.

Sam from Thoughts on Tomes is one of those booktubers who should be much bigger than what she is, which is crazy since as of the time of writing this she has over 43,000 followers! She is so sarcastic and isn’t afraid to say why she dislikes a book, and it’s amazing. She helps run Top 5 Wednesday and is a cofounder for BookNet Fest! She reads a lot of fantasy, and recently finished grad school so she’ll have a lot more videos coming out soon!

Want a booktuber who just gets straight to the point with short videos? Piera is the girl for you! Another fantasy lover from down under, Piera is so sarcastic and I love watching her videos. Imagine a badass character from a fantasy novel who kicks ass and takes names. Now put that character into the real world, and you have Piera.

Back onto the North American continent with French Canadian booktuber Emily! Lots and lots and lots of fantasy here, especially the big books over 500 pages! She is very good at saying what she likes and dislikes about books and is another one who isn’t afraid to say that they hated a book and why. And if you are as obsessed with her makeup as I am, she also has a beauty channel!

Sam from Sam’s Nonsense was basically my gateway channel to all of the other channels I’ve mentioned so far. Once I found her, I started finding a lot of other fantasy lovers out there who aren’t afraid to talk about the less popular series! She is so much fun and I’m so jealous of her blue and purple hair. She is a huge Robin Hobb fan, so if you like that author and anything similar, you will love Sam’s channel!

Spencer from Common Spence is probably one that you have at least heard of in passing, as he is suddenly everywhere and everyone talks about his channel! That is no surprise, because the minute you start one of his videos, you will be less than a minute in and already hitting that subscribe button. He has so much enthusiasm for the books he reads and his rant videos are honestly the funniest videos that I have seen in a long time! He will read pretty much anything from contemporary to fantasy, so there is something for everyone!

Catriona (Caz) from Little Book Owl is another Aussie booktuber! She is good friends with Piera, who I mentioned earlier on this list. She has a lot of readalongs going on right now, so go check those out! Lots of unboxings and author interviews, plus hauls and wrap ups, her channel has it all!

Kristin from Super Space Chick holds the distinction of being the very first booktuber that I ever subscribed to, and I still watch her videos regularly! She is so quirky and fun, and I am so in love with her bookshelves. She is a lover of anime, and even though I am not, I still enjoy watching her videos and listen to her gush about her favorite series and books! Anime is not her only love though, as she also reads a lot of, you guessed it, fantasy!

Bex is someone that I only recently started following, but again, Aussie booktubers are apparently my weakness. Confession: I’ve only watched two of her videos so far, but I loved them enough that she now on my favorites list! She has a lot of tag videos, book hauls and readathon vlogs, so if those are your thing, check her out!

And last but certainly not least is Clara from clarareadsbooks! I’m sure she would have something witty to say about being the last channel mentioned on this list. She is another sarcastic and funny booktuber, and what is really impressive to me is that she films all of her videos on her phone. She is proof that you don’t need fancy cameras or lights to have a bigger following.

And there we have it! My current favorite booktubers! I am so curious to know if you watch any of these booktubers, or if you checked any of them out and liked them as well! Also, let me know what booktubers you have to recommend to me, as I’m always on the lookout for some great channels to watch!
