The ABC Book Challenge |B|

Today I am continuing my weekly posting of the ABC Book Challenge! What you do for this challenge is mention at least one book that start with a certain letter, in this case B, that are memorable. Then you also mention at least one book on your TBR with that letter! It was a lot of fun doing this and searching my shelves, and just like last time, the Goodreads page for each book is linked in the title of the book! The previous installments for this challenge will be listed at the end of the post.

Memorable books starting with “B”

Brave New World by Aldous Huxley – This is one of those books that I had to read in school and is one of the only ones that I actually thought was interesting! It’s a classic sci-fi novel and it’s so intriguing to think about where he pictured society to be in the future.

Beyond a Darkened Shore by Jessica Leake – Out of all of the recent Celtic/Norse inspired books to come out recently, this one was one of my favorites! The blend of the two cultures was so fantastic and the characters and plot were well thought out.

Bloody Rose by Nicholas Eames – READ. THIS. BOOK. Actually, read Kings of the Wyld first and THEN read this book! It was such a brilliant idea combining rock stars and that culture with mercenaries and when you think about it, it’s so surprising that no one has thought of it before! I will have a review of Bloody Rose coming soon, but in the meantime check out my review for Kings of the Wyld!

Blind Beauty by K.M. Peyton – This is one of the few books from my childhood that I have kept with me because it really resonated with me. It’s about a young girl who doesn’t fit in, but soon finds her place in a racing stable where she dreams of becoming one of the first female jockeys. It’s so much more than that though! I love this book and I highly recommend it!

Black Bird of the Gallows by Meg Kassel – When I first read this book, I wasn’t as impressed by it as I was hoping, but as time went on, I realized that I was still thinking about the book and I couldn’t bear to give it up. Plus, the cover is GORGEOUS! I have a review of this book from when I started my blog, so if you are interested you can check that out here!

TBR books that start with “B”

Blood Song by Anthony Ryan – I think it was Elliot over at Elliot Brooks on Youtube who mentioned this book, and since I have a similar taste in books I decided that I needed to read this!

The Black Prism by Brent Weeks – This has been on my TBR for a while but I am really excited to get to it. Like the last book, this was recommended by a booktuber but this time it’s Regan from PeruseProject! She used to mention this series all the time and I tend to like the same things as her, so now it’s on my TBR.

Blood of Elves by Andrzej Sapkowski – I play the Witcher video games and knew that they were based off a book, but I didn’t really have any intentions of reading the books themselves, that is until Elliot (yet again) mentioned how much she loves the books so I of course had to buy the first 4 in the series! *I have a book buying problem, send help*

Blue Lily, Lily Blue by Maggie Stiefvater – I recently finished The Raven Boys and I loved how atmospheric and magical it was, so of course I want to finish the series! Blue Lily, Lily Blue is the fourth and final book in the series, so I have a while until I get to it, but I’m excited none the less.

Before They Are Hanged by Joe Abercrombie – This is book 2 in the first law trilogy, and I haven’t read the first book yet so this is still on my TBR. It’s a multiple perspective fantasy, and those are my favorite!
