Halloween Book Tag

I found this tag over at The Sassy Geek and it looked like the perfect tag to do for Tag Tuesday for #blogtober day 16! We’ve made it halfway through blogtober and I haven’t missed a day yet, so I’m pretty proud of myself for pulling this off. This particular tag was created by Michelle over at Book Adventures, but it seems that her blog has been taken down.

Favorite Scary (Must Read) For Halloween

It’s not necessarily scary, but it definitely creeped me out thinking what if? What if mermaids are real? What if they aren’t as friendly as we imagined them to be? I do have a review for this book if you want to check that out, but it’s pretty terrifying and bloody!

Scariest Book Cover, Like Ever?

There is just something about these covers that creeps me out! Probably the combination of old-time photos with paranormal aspects are just so shiver inducing to me! And I know that these books have photos throughout that are just as creepy.

If you could go Trick-or-Treating with any author, who would you pick?

The first author who came to my mind is Victoria Schwab! It would be so much fun to run around getting into trouble, being villains or anti-heroes!

If you could dress up as any bookish character for Halloween, who would you be?

I would love to dress up as Celaena from Throne of Glass, or maybe Mia from Nevernight! It would also be cool to go as Eowyn from LOTR!

If you could find anything (from any book) in your Trick-or-Treat stash, what would you hope to find?

This was a tough question for me, but I think I’m going to go with a magic wand from Harry Potter! Being able to use spells in everyday life would make everything so much easier! Imagine making blog posts instantly without spending all that time researching and typing and scheduling!

In what fictional world would you like to go Trick-or-Treating?

I already said I would take a wand from Harry Potter, so in order to have a different answer for this I think I am going to have to say Halloweentown! It would be year-round trick-or-treating and it would just be so fantastic to see all of that spookiness 24/7!

What book villain would you not like to meet alone in a dark alley on Halloween?

Oh boy another tough question! I think I’ll choose one of my favorite villains from Game of Thrones, Ramsey! I’m not really down for being skinned alive by a sadistic bastard (literally, he was born out of wedlock).

Would you rather dress up as a vampire, zombie, werewolf or Shadowhunter?

100% a vampire. Zombies are kinda gross, and if you’re dressing up as a werewolf it’s probably not going to be a cool werewolf. And I wouldn’t go as a shadowhunter mainly because I still need to read The Mortal Instruments! Yes, I know, I’m a horrible book blogger.

Pick a candy (just one) from Harry Potter that you would love to find in your stash?

Well I would say Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans, but we basically already have them in real life. So that means I’m choosing chocolate frogs! Can you imagine collecting all of those character cards and watching all the frogs hop around?

What is your favorite Halloween candy?

My favorite is definitely peanut butter cups! I could eat them all the time (and I do, actually). I also really love candy corn and I usually only eat that around Halloween.
