Book Reviews and Recommendations

Welcome back to another Blogmas post! I always say this, but I absolutely love doing book tags because it is an easy way to discuss multiple books in a super fun format! Today’s tag was created by GirlReading and it is the Festive Christmas book tag!
There are so many different families I would want to spend Christmas with! The Weasleys, The Inner Circle from ACOTAR, The Court of Terrasen, Fable and Saga from Kings of the Wyld and Bloody Rose, the list just goes on and on! All of these families, whether related or chosen, have such great chemistry with each other and it would be so much fun spending time with any of them!
Does another bookshelf count? I would love to have another shelf so I can spread out my books a little bit more so they aren’t so packed onto my shelves. Other than that, I think I would like more merch for some of my favorite series, including Throne of Glass, The Stormlight Archives, Daughter of Smoke and Bone, Lord of the Rings, etc.
This is actually a tough question! Do I choose someone who would be a creator and make toys, or someone who would just spread the joy of Christmas? If I were to go with a creative person, I would have to choose Freya from Long May She Reign because she is so innovative and I think she could come up with some pretty unique toys! For spreading Christmas cheer, I think I would actually go with Aelin from Throne of Glass. Not only does she love parties and sweets, but she truly cares about others and wants the best for them. She would make Christmas so magical for everyone around her!
I think that Trans Siberian Orchestra’s Wizards in Winter is the perfect song for Kings of the Wyld, especially for Moog! Just thinking about a fight scene set to this song makes me laugh.
The Dane twins from A Darker Shade of Magic. Actually, they wouldn’t even make it to the naughty list because they are so horrible, they wouldn’t even get any coal for Christmas!
Uhhhh Kings of the Wyld and Bloody Rose! I swear I’m not trying to make this tag all about these two books, but they are honestly so good I can’t not include them!
I don’t own any books set during Christmas or with actual Christmassy covers, so I think I’ll go with my edition of His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman!
Without mentioning Kings of the Wyld and Bloody Rose (again) I think I will have to choose Daughter of Smoke and Bone! I still need to finish the third book, but so far this series has been so much fun to read and I can’t wait to explore more of Laini Taylor’s works!
I’m curious, has anyone read Kings of the Wyld from my recommendation? If you did, did you enjoy it? I love talking about books with all of you!
