March TBR

Yes, I know it’s already a good way into March already, but I still want to attempt a TBR for the month. I’ve said time and time again that I am a mood reader and I have trouble committing myself to specific books for the month, but I still want to try TBRs to get more of my books read. So with that said, here is my March TBR!

The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon

I’m almost 600 pages into this 800+ page book, so I’m including it in my TBR because I fully intend to finish this behemoth in March! Honestly, this is shaping up to be my favorite book of the year. I just love these characters so much and the world is so fascinating!

City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare

One of my goals for 2019 is to read all of Cassandra Clare’s books since I own them all, and I’ve already gotten a good portion of this book read already, a little over 200 pages at the moment. I’m actually behind if I want to read one of the shadowhunter books a month to finish The Mortal Instruments, The Dark Artifices and The Infernal Devices before the end of the year, but hopefully I’ll get hooked and want to just binge them.

Master of Sorrows by Justin Call

All of a sudden I was seeing this book EVERYWHERE and not only is the cover gorgeous, but it sounds super interesting as well! This follows a boy who wants to become an Avatar, which in this world means warrior thieves that are capable of infiltrating the most heavily guarded vaults and are the only ones who can resist the lure of magic. In this world, magic is dangerous and the academy that trains Avatars stands against magic.

Crown of Feathers by Nicki Pau Preto

This is a YA fantasy about phoenix riders. PHOENIX. RIDERS. I’ve been seeing some really great reviews from people whose opinions I trust, so I’m excited to finally get around to this one.

Spellslinger by Sebastien De Castell

I’ve actually had this one on my shelf in hardcover, but the series recently got beautiful new paperback covers, so I picked up the first two books in this edition. All I really know is that it’s about a boy who is supposed to be named a spellcaster, but on the day of the ceremony, his magic disappears and he goes on a quest of some sort to figure out what happened and to restore his magic.

Rise of the Seer by Brandon Barr

The final book that I DEFINITELY want to read in March is a self published book that was recommended to me by one of my twitter friends, and it’s the shortest book on my TBR coming in at just under 300 pages. It follows two different perspectives from two different worlds whose destinies are intertwined by an ancient prophecy.

Ruin of Kings by Jen Lyons

And then if I have a chance, I would love to read Ruin of Kings, but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to get to this one because of all the other lengthy books I have on my TBR. This one has been compared to The Name of the Wind in the sense that this is told to us by the main character looking back at his life and recounting what happened. The only thing that I really know other than that is it is about a boy who could be the one who saves their world or destroys it.

What books do you plan to read in March? I’d love to know!

Until Next Time…

    • I just started Crown of Feathers and so far it’s an interesting world and the dynamic between the sisters is super complex. Something shocking has already happened!

  2. I’m definitely planning on getting to Ruin of Kings this month too! And I’m SO glad to hear you’ve been loving Priory! I got it on preorder but I’ve been hearing mixed things about it, so there was a bit of premature buyer’s regret going on for me. 😛

  3. I need to pick up Priory and The Ruin Of Kings! I hope you enjoy binging the Shadowhunter Books…TMI dips a bit in the middle, but otherwise, her books just get better and better! You can really see how her writing improves over time.
