Book Reviews and Recommendations
I’ve been feeling like a reading slump is coming on, I just can’t decide what book I want to read and sticking with one particular book has been really rough lately. But let’s hope that one of the books I want to read this week will stick! If you aren’t aware what WWW Wednesdays are, it’s basically three questions that you answer about your reading currently. This meme is hosted by Taking on a World of Words.
Like I mentioned, I’m having a hard time sticking to a book, but right now I’m reading Blood Song by Anthony Ryan and Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor, but I’m not really into either one at the moment. There isn’t anything wrong with either of the books, I just need to find the right book to stop this reading slump before it gets bad.
I recently finished Wilder Girls and The Merciful Crow. I ADORED The Merciful Crow, and I thought Wilder Girls was really unique and creepy.
Since I seem to be in a slump, I think I should just go with my gut on what I really need to be reading next. Right now I’m leaning towards Vicious and The Dead House, so I’m thinking I’ll pick one of those up to see if they help with this slump I’m feeling.
I won a copy of Strange the Dreamer when it first came out, but I still haven’t read it yet. I just haven’t really been in the mood for that type of book.

Yeah, I started it and I can tell that I may want to hold off a little longer, at least until I get out of this slump!

I loved Vicious, I’ve tried to pick up Strange the Dreamer at least 3 times (and have failed. Three times. *hides face*), and I’ve been seeing Wilder Girls EVERYWHERE! I don’t typically do creepy, but I’m intrigued….

I’m really hoping that I can actually read Strange the Dreamer at some point, but I’m afraid that I won’t like her writing in Strange the Dreamer because the little that I read was different than Daughter of Smoke and Bone.
