February 2020 TBR

Hi everyone! It’s been exactly one year since I’ve started doing a monthly TBR, which is insane for me because I’m such a mood reader that I don’t ever actually read all the books that I set on my TBR. Because of that, my TBRs from here on out are going to be a little different! I’m going to share with you the books that I had on my TBR from exactly one year ago, see which ones I read, and then choose one that I didn’t read to add to this month’s TBR!

First, I’ll start off with the books that I’m adding to my TBR for the first time this month. Gotta keep the suspense for which book I choose from last year!

The Unspoken Name by A.K. Larkwood – I have an ARC copy of this book that releases on 2/11/2020 so I really need to make sure that I read this before it’s release date! It shouldn’t be too hard though because it sounds really interesting and a lot of the early reviews have been good.

Ash Princess by Laura Sebastian – I got this book through a kindle deal (thank god I have a kindle now and don’t need to spend crazy amounts of money on new books) and I’m so excited to read it! Elliot Brooks has highly recommended this book as being a fun YA fantasy, and that is 100% what I want to read.

Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi – This one shouldn’t be too hard for me to finish in February, if I don’t finish it in January that is! As of right now, I’m about halfway through this book so it’s quite possible that it won’t even make it to February but I’m adding it to my TBR just to be safe.

Heart of Flames by Nicki Pau Preto – This is the sequel to Crown of Feathers which I read and really enjoyed last year! I have an ARC of this book, but I also ordered the OwlCrate exclusive edition so I’ll read as much of the ARC as I can, but then I’ll probably finish the book physically before its February 11th release date!

Blood of Heirs by Alicia Wanstall-Burke – This was one of the books on my Self Published Fantasy TBR post from a while back, and now that I have kindle unlimited, I can read a whole bunch of the self published books that I’ve been dying to get to!

Now the moment you’ve all been waiting for (or at least just me) here were the books on my TBR from February 2019! I won’t give a synopsis for each of these, but if I read them and have a review I will link it!

  • The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi – Finished! Here is my review!
  • Foundryside by Robert Jackson Bennett – Finished! Here is my review!
  • Saga volume 4 by Brian K Vaughan – Finished! I didn’t write a review of this.
  • Saga volume 5 by Brian K Vaughan – Didn’t finish!
  • In An Absent Dream by Seanan McGuire – Finished! Here is my review!
  • Winter Loon by Susan Bernhard – Didn’t finish!

That means that I either need to read Saga volume 5 or Winter Loon this month! Since Saga is so short, I think I should be able to add both of those onto my TBR for February and not have to worry about not finishing them. I’ll probably eat those words when I wrap up the month, but oh well!
