Stay at Home Book Tag

Thank you so much to Holly from The Writing Finch for tagging me to do this tag! This was created by Princess of Paperback on YouTube, and is meant to lift our spirits and give us something fun to do while we are all at home!

Laying in bed – a book you read in one day

The most recent book I’ve been able to finish in one day was The Duchess Deal by Tessa Dare. Romance novels for me go so much faster than my usual fantasy genre so it’s much easier to speed through them in a day. This one did have some moments where I really cringed, but it was still a lot of fun!

Snacking – a book that is a “guilty pleasure” read

I would again say The Duchess Deal, but to try to mix it up I’ll go with Vampire Academy. I didn’t read these books back when they were really popular, so reading them now is definitely a guilty pleasure read for me!

Netflix – a series that you want to start

Gosh, I have so many series that I want to start! The first one that I think of though is Blackthorn and Grim, which is one that I don’t think I’ve really mentioned much on this blog but I find myself constantly looking at the books on my shelves!

Deep clean – a book that has been on your TBR for ages

I decided to check my Goodreads want to read shelf for this one, and it turns out the first book I added to my TBR that I haven’t read yet is The Wrath and the Dawn. I definitely think that this is one of the books that has spent the most time on my TBR and my shelves, so maybe I need to read it soon?

Animal Crossing – a book you recently bought because of the hype

I recently bought The House in the Cerulean Sea because I was seeing it EVERYWHERE and everyone was loving it, and turns out I loved it too! I wouldn’t go so far as to say it was a new favorite, but it was tackled so many heavy topics in such a wholesome way, you couldn’t help but love these characters!

Productivity – a book you learned from or had an impact on you

This is a tough one! The first one that comes to mind is a recent read because it was such an emotional read and that’s My Dark Vanessa. It was really thought provoking and was really hard to read at times, but also so important!

Facetime – a book you were gifted

My parents gifted me The Starless Sea for Christmas, and while I still need to read it I’m excited to see where I stand on it because it seems people either love it or hate it. I didn’t connect with The Night Circus but I think the plot for The Starless Sea sounds more interesting!

Self care – what is one thing you have done recently to look after yourself

I recently bought a new face mask to help with the crazy acne breakouts that I’ve been having recently (hello adult acne) and it’s a pretty pricey one so I’m hoping it will work some miracles!

BONUS – an upcoming release you are looking forward to

So for books that I have an ARC of I think I would say The Crow Rider, but for books that I don’t have an ARC of I would say Mexican Gothic!

Since this tag has been SOOO popular lately and I don’t know who has and hasn’t done this tag, I’m not going to tag individual people but if you are reading this, consider yourself tagged! I’d love to see your answers!
