March 2021 TBR

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing the books that I’m hoping to read in March! I haven’t been very good this year about sticking to my TBR, but I also haven’t been very good at reading in general so we’ll see how this goes. I have fewer books on this TBR than what I usually have because I don’t know if I’ll be able to read more than the two books a month that I’ve been able to read lately.

The Shadow of the Gods by John Gwynne – This is one of the upcoming ARCs that I have to read, and since I’ve been doing horribly with keeping up with my ARCs this year, I’m trying to read ahead so that I can get the future ARCs done so I can focus on the past ones I missed! But that aside, this is a new Norse inspired fantasy series that follows three characters who will shape the fate of their world as the old gods come back to life. I’ve slowly started this one and it’s been really pulling me in so far!

The Unbroken by C.L. Clark – Another upcoming ARC that I have, I’m hoping to have this finished before it’s release in late March! This one follows two characters – one a soldier and one a turncoat who wants to get her uncle off the throne. I wasn’t sure about this one until I saw a few other early reviews that said this was a book with battles, dragons, love and loss, political maneuvering, and rebellion with some magic and honestly, that’s everything I love in a fantasy book.

Act Your Age, Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert – The final ARC on this monthly TBR, I added this one now as a breather from all the fantasy. If you’ve seen my reading so far this year, I’ve been struggling and have only been able to finish fantasy romances. I’m hoping that this one will help me out with my reading! This is the third book in the Brown Sisters series and I’m excited to see Eve and her relationship! I love this series, and I’m excited to read other books by Talia Hibbert after I finish this one.

Fireborne by Rosaria Munda – This one is described as Game of Thrones meets Red Rising, which part of me is a little skeptical about because everything these days is pitched as Game of Thrones meets something. However that doesn’t lessen my excitement for this debut about two dragonriders who come from different backgrounds and have to decide what to do when the old regime reappears after a revolution intent on taking back the city.

These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong – I got the OwlCrate exclusive edition of this book in one of their recent boxes, and I was so excited when I got it and planned to read it right away, but for whatever reason I didn’t, so I’m planning on reading it in March! This is a Romeo and Juliet retelling set in 1920s Shanghai but with rival gangs instead of rival families. Everyone raves about how good this book is, and I just want to find out for myself!

What books do you want to read in March? I’d love to chat!

  1. I’m hoping to read These Violent Delights too. it sounds great so I’m extremely excited! However I haven’t got my hands on it yet, so I might not get to it soon. Hopefully by April, though! Good luck with reading the books on your TBR 😀
