Quarterly Reading Stats and Goals Check In

Hi everyone! Since March is now over, I thought it would be a great time to do a quarterly reading stat post! I’ve never done any quarterly reviews, but I think that it’s worth it to see how my reading has been going! I’m also going to incorporate a reading goals check-in, just to see how I’m doing with the goals that I set up for 2021 and to see if I want to add or change any.

First, let’s take a look at my reading stats for January, February and March! I have read 10 books, which means I’m still behind to meet my goal of 65 books this year. However I’m confident that I can meet that goal by the end of the year!

I also set myself a goal of reading 20,000 pages in a year, which I think is something I can easily accomplish considering I read 25,000 pages last year. I’m a little behind on this goal as well, but I’ve read 4,373 pages so far this year!

I really like looking at the graphs that my tracker makes, and I think it’s really interesting seeing that most of the books I’ve read this year have been 2021 releases. I’ve also read a LOT of romance, more than I usually read.

I had a pretty rough start to the year, only finishing 2 books in both January and February, but I think I’m finally out of my reading slump! Most of the books I read were 4 or 5 stars, and my top 3 books were The Shadow of the Gods, For the Wolf, and A Court of Silver Flames! My lowest ratings were 3.5, so overall the quality of reads was fantastic!

Goals Check In

My five goals for 2021 were to read diversely, read my 20 for 2021 list, clean my shelves with an unhaul, read an average of 50 pages a day, and to interact more with bloggers. I haven’t been doing so well with the first one, which is definitely an issue that I need to correct ASAP. I did a massive unhaul when I did some renovations to my apartment, so I finished that goal, I’ve interacted more with bloggers and bookstagrammers, and I’ve been so close to my average of 50 pages a day goal, with an average of about 49 pages a day.

As for my 20 in 2021 list, I have read only one of them so far, but I’ve started 6 others. I need to pick up the pace a little bit! The other 2021 reading list that I made was for series that I wanted to start in 2021. Of the five series on that list, I haven’t officially finished the first books in any of those series, although I have started to read two of the five.

Overall, I’m not doing too bad with my reading so far this year, but I definitely have a few goals that I need to work on a little bit more. How are you doing with your reading so far this year?
