My Current Horror TBR

Hi everyone! I’ve been really craving some horror reads after reading Tender is the Flesh earlier this year, I’ve already read quite a few this year and I have plenty of others that I want to read eventually! I’ve always enjoyed mystery/thrillers, and I’ve dabbled in horror before (I especially like horror movies, although I don’t watch them often). So this list will help me keep track of all the horror books I want to read! Some of these may not be full on horror but more in line with thrillers, but that’s okay.

If you have any suggestions, please leave a comment below!

  • Razorblade Tears by S.A. Crosby
  • Confessions by Kanae Minato
  • Hide by Kiersten White
  • The Children on the Hill by Jennifer McMahon
  • My Best Friend’s Exorcism by Grady Hendrix
  • The Haunting of Ashburn House by Darcy Coates
  • Kill Creek by Scott Thomas
  • Bunny by Mona Awad
  • The Luminous Dead by Caitlin Starling
  • The Drowning Kind by Jennifer McMahon
  • The Last House on Needless Street by Catriona Ward
  • American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis
  • The Deep and The Troop by Nick Cutter
  • The Hellbound Heart by Clive Barker
  • Hidden Pictures by Jason Rekulak
  • The Hollows by Mark Edwards
  • The Poison Thread by Laura Purcell
  • Possession by Katie Lowe
  • Slewfoot by Brom
  • Something Wicked This Way Comes by Ray Bradbury
  • Stolen Tongues by Felix Blackwell
  • Sundial by Catriona Ward
  • This Thing Between Us by Gus Moreno
  • The Wasp Factory by Iain Banks
  • We Need to Talk About Kevin by Lionel Shriver
  • Those Across the River by Christopher Buehlman
  • You’ve Lost a Lot of Blood by Eric LaRocca
  • Winterset Hollow by Jonathan Edward Durham
  • The Blade Between by Sam J Miller
  • Disappearance at Devil’s Rock by Paul Tremblay
  • The Girl Next Door by Jack Ketchum
  • Haunted by Chuck Palahniuk
  • Exquisite Corpse by Poppy Z Brite
  • Manhunt by Gretchen Felker-Martin
  • Nothing But Blackened Teeth by Cassandra Khaw
  • Alice Isn’t Dead by Joseph Fink

Any suggestions? I’ve read quite a bit of Stephen King when I was younger and I’m not the biggest fan, but I’ve also heard that if you don’t like his older stuff you may like the newer stuff, and vice versa.

  1. Wow, that is quite the list! Hope you enjoy them! Would like to add: Riley Sager (thriller/horror), almost al the books books by Darcy Coates (I spy one of hers on your list but I would also recommend others by her), Dead Silence by SA Barnes, Mina and the Undead by Amy McCaw, Lindsay Currie (MG Horror), Kathryn Foxfield (horror/thriller YA), Ambrose Ibsen (Horror). Haha, I think I will keep it to that because your list is already big, but if you need more recs feel free to ask I got more. 🙂

    • Yes I love Riley Sager! I think the only one I haven’t read at this point is Survive the Night. I did read Dead Silence and enjoyed it as well! I’ll definitely be adding the others to my list!
