I own the first book in Robert Jackson Bennett’s Divine Cities series but I still haven’t gotten around to reading it, so when I saw this book was coming out, I wasn’t convinced that it was something I needed to pick up since I’m trying to limit my book buying this year. Then I saw a few reviews on Booktube about how fantastic this book was, so I decided to give it… Read More
This was such a fantastic book! It’s like Six of Crows meets Atlantis: The Lost Empire meets Indiana Jones and if that doesn’t appeal to you, then I don’t know what would.
Is it possible to love and hate a book at the same time? Because I loved this book SO MUCH. The message was fantastic, but it makes me so mad that this even needs to be said. Before I get into the full review, I want to mention that this book contains the following trigger warnings: rape, animal cruelty, and violence.
Everybody and their mother has read this book at this point, and technically I’ve read it in the past, but I don’t really remember much about my time reading it, especially with the TV show and that movie that everyone hates. I have all of Cassandra Clare’s shadowhunter books, and so one of my reading goals for 2019 was to read all of them. I’m off to a good start!

I am so happy that I decided to go outside my comfort zone and try this book, since even though I love Brandon Sanderson and his writing, I’ve never actually read a sci-fi before. But I am happy to say that after reading this, I think I’ll try even more sci-fi!
Alright, I’m finally getting around to doing my best and worst of the year posts! These are honestly my favorite posts to read and it’s my first year actually being able to do them myself!
Kill the Queen by Jennifer Estep was one of the books I was looking forward to the most from this year, and I finally got around to reading it! I’m so glad that I finally read it because it was just what I needed! Not only does it have a ton of murder (trigger warning for blood, gore, and all that) but it also has elemental magic, adventures, and a touch of… Read More
I finally did it. I read and loved a Laini Taylor book! I honestly never thought that I would love any of her works, not because of the plots or characters, but because I’m not the biggest fan of flowery writing and everything I’ve seen everywhere made me a little afraid to pick anything up.
I struggled with most of this book, but I kept pushing through it because everyone was always talking about how crazy and unexpected the ending is. Let me just say that everyone is correct when they say that you will NEVER guess this ending!
It’s the fifth day of the ABC book challenge for me, which means the letter this week is E! This may be a tough letter for me but hopefully I can find a few books for each category. If you are unaware, this challenge involves mentioning books that start with a certain letter that were memorable, and ones that are on your TBR. So let’s just get right into this week’s letter….
