Melting Pages

Archives

Oh. My. God. April has been my best reading month in a VERY long time! I’ve read 10 books in the month of April, and audiobooks were really the main reason why I got so much reading done! I read 5 adult and 5 YA this month, and it was mainly fantasy (6) with one mystery, one thriller, and 2 contemporary. I also read/listened to a total of 3,274 pages in April!

I did a bookshelf tour a few months ago, but I’ve rearranged since then and got some new additions, so I thought that it’s time to do another tour! This one I’ll be splitting up into two parts: my two main shelves an then my two extra shelves. Today will be my main shelves! These sit right in front of my couch next to my TV, so I’m constantly looking at these… Read More

I own the first book in Robert Jackson Bennett’s Divine Cities series but I still haven’t gotten around to reading it, so when I saw this book was coming out, I wasn’t convinced that it was something I needed to pick up since I’m trying to limit my book buying this year. Then I saw a few reviews on Booktube about how fantastic this book was, so I decided to give it… Read More

This was such a fantastic book! It’s like Six of Crows meets Atlantis: The Lost Empire meets Indiana Jones and if that doesn’t appeal to you, then I don’t know what would.

Holy crap. This book had me hooked and wanting more from start to finish! This has two separate POVs in different times: Beth in the 1980s and Clara in 2017. The book opens with Beth’s perspective, and she is the mother of a young, very dangerous and disturbed girl. Her POV was so incredibly disturbing and gave me the chills! Then in Clara’s perspective, her boyfriend Luke has gone missing and she… Read More

Alright, I’m finally getting around to doing my best and worst of the year posts! These are honestly my favorite posts to read and it’s my first year actually being able to do them myself!

I finally did it. I read and loved a Laini Taylor book! I honestly never thought that I would love any of her works, not because of the plots or characters, but because I’m not the biggest fan of flowery writing and everything I’ve seen everywhere made me a little afraid to pick anything up.

I honestly didn’t think I bought this many books in November! From here on out, I am officially on a book buying ban. I will not place any more Book Outlet orders or books from Amazon with the exception of my preorders. We’ll see how this goes, but I’m going to try really hard! But you don’t want to know about that, you want to see the books I got!

It’s the fifth day of the ABC book challenge for me, which means the letter this week is E! This may be a tough letter for me but hopefully I can find a few books for each category. If you are unaware, this challenge involves mentioning books that start with a certain letter that were memorable, and ones that are on your TBR. So let’s just get right into this week’s letter…. It’s Wednesday so that means I’m doing another TBR Lows & Highs post! This series has been so much fun so far and it’s really prompted me to clear out my TBR on Goodreads so it’s not extremely long. I feel like my physical TBR is almost the size of my Goodreads TBR at this point in my life, but that’s a whole other problem.
